Detroit Pistons vs. Phoenix Suns: Time, TV, injury report for game against Kevin Durant
West Coast best coast? Not if you're trying to get wins in the NBA. And especially if the trip comes amidst the trade deadline.
The Detroit Pistons may not be complaining too much, as they got to spend some extra time in beautiful Los Angeles in between their games against the Lakers and Clippers, but as far as star power, the West Coast is no joke.
Here is a list of players the Pistons have faced since starting their road trip against the Sacramento Kings on Feb. 7: De'Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, Jerami Grant (who had 49 points), Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, D'Angelo Russell and Anthony Davis.
The Pistons "respite" as they head back east? A game against the Suns and their superstar trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. (Though they'll get a slight reprieve, as Beat strained a hamstring on Tuesday night and will miss tonight's game. His replacement for most of the game, Eric Gordon, was the 2016-17 Sixth Man of the Year and went off for 23 points against the Kings on Tuesday.)
If you're doing the math at home, that's 89 All-Star appearances just between those 13 guys, and that's including Grant, the former Piston who has never made the All-Star game but certainly looked the part when facing the Pistons on Feb. 8.
It's safe to say the Western Conference is not lacking in star power.

The crazy part of this tough stretch for the Pistons is they've played some of their best basketball of the season, including two improbable wins to start the trip over the Kings and Trail Blazers as their roster was being deconstructed during the trade deadline and a close loss to the Clippers.
The major bright spot of this trip has been the continued emergence of Jaden Ivey. Since a really rough start to the season, Ivey has slowly but surely started to look like the star player many envisioned when he was coming out of the draft. Ivey started the trip with a career-high 37-point showing against the Kings, then scored 26 against the Blazers and 23 against the Clippers.
As popular NBA writer Kevin O'Connor pointed out on Twitter this week, Ivey has become one of the most efficient scorers in isolation in the entire NBA. Ivey comes in at No. 5 overall in isolation scoring with a minimum of 60 possessions, according to Synergy Basketball, which tracks analytic trends. Only Leonard, Dejounte Murray, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Stephen Curry rank above Ivey this year.

Ivey will try and continue his offensive momentum on Wednesday against the Suns, the Pistons final game before the All-Star break.

Detroit Pistons injury report vs. Phoenix Suns
Isaiah Stewart is nearing a return but remains out with a left ankle sprain. Cade Cunningham has not been playing back-to-back games since returning from his knee injury but was not listed on the injury report before the Lakers game. New addition Quentin Grimes remains out with a knee sprain after arriving from the Knicks. Grimes hasn't played since Jan. 30.
For the Suns, veteran Damion Lee (knee) was the only player listed on the injury report entering Tuesday's game against the Kings and he will remain out with a long-term injury. Bradley Beal injured his hamstring against the Kings and coach Frank Vogel said afterward he wouldn't play vs. the Pistons.
