Game notes: The Pistons have lost four straight and are 2-8 in their last 10. They could again be without star rookie Cade Cunnigham (hip). Detroit is pulling close to Orlando (12-43) for the worst record in the league. ... The Mavericks come into the game winners of two straight and 6-4 in their last 10. MVP candidate Luka Doncic struggled with his 3-point shot (28.2%) in January but was otherwise magnificent, averaging 25 points per game, 10 rebounds and nine assists. The Pistons host the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday and the Mavericks host the Los Angeles Clippers that same night.
