Detroit Pistons depth chart 2023: Roster entering offseason, NBA free agency

Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey, center Isaiah Stewart and guard Cade Cunningham celebrate a basket vs. the Orlando Magic during the second half of the season opener at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Oct. 19, 2022.

Who is on the Detroit Pistons roster and what is the depth chart?

The Pistons get 15 spots to fill each season on NBA contracts.

They have a first-round pick, at No. 5 overall, and own the first pick in the second round, No. 31 overall.

But who knows what trades and maneuvers general manager Troy Weaver and staff will pull off between now and the June 22 draft and free agency, with signings becoming official July 6. They'll have more than $25 million in cap space to spend, and are desperate for help on the wing.

COACH SEARCH: Pistons have 2 paths for next coach: Stick with finalists or hire fired winner?

Of course, the league is fluid with positions and interchangeable matchups. For example, Cunningham and Burks can both play on the wing as the "3" on defense due to their size.

Other contracts

Rodney McGruder, Cory Joseph and Hamidou Diallo are unrestricted free agents this summer.

Pistons have options on R.J. Hampton ($2 million) and Eugene Omoruyi ($1.9 million).
