Detroit Lions make statement, their fans just as loud during, after win at Lambeau Field
Detroit Lions fans were the final ones standing in Lambeau field chanting "Let's Go Lions" as Green Bay Packers fans filed out of the stadium.
The loud group of Detroit faithful that made the trip to Wisconsin were rewarded with a great Lions performance in their 34-20 win. Detroit dominated the first half and jumped out to a 27-3 lead that proved to be insurmountable despite a comeback attempt from the Packers.
JEFF SEIDEL: Lions can scream it loud: The NFC North runs through us!
By the time the postgame show on Amazon Prime was getting into full swing, only Lions fans remained, and they made themselves heard on national TV.

CARLOS MONARREZ: David Montgomery, run game hugely impressive in Lions' landslide over Packers
Lions fans are getting used to the new dominance over the Packers, who historically has Detroit's number. The Lions have now won four straight games over their rival under Dan Campbell, perhaps the biggest sign of a new era.
The Lions are 8-5 in their last 13 games against the Packers, including four straight.
Before that, the Lions had been 6-27 in the previous 33 matchups.
The Lions didn't win at Lambeau from 1992-2014 but are 5-4 there since.— Chris Vannini (@ChrisVannini) September 29, 2023
Man, I remember when it was absolutely monumental that the Lions went on the road and won in Green Bay. This just feels like it was expected. Love this era for Detroit

Running back David Montgomery received lots of praise for his bellcow performance just four days after missing a game with a thigh injury. Montgomery carried the ball a career-high 32 times for 121 yards and three touchdowns serving as the hub of the Lions offensive engine.
Good teams do just what the Lions did. They faced some adversity and did not wilt.
Thankfully Montgomery was able to play tonight. He is one tough SOB. It’s a great feeling to have a very good football team.— michael stone (@stoney16) September 29, 2023
Everybody loves Jamaal Williams but it’s pretty obvious that David Montgomery is a massive upgrade.
