Detroit Lions reportedly bring back WR Donovan Peoples-Jones on one-year deal

The Detroit Lions are bringing back their midseason trade acquisition from last year.

The Lions agreed to a one-year worth up to $2 million Saturday with wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, according to Bleacher Report.

Peoples-Jones caught five passes for 58 yards in eight games with the Lions last season.

The Lions acquired Peoples-Jones from the Cleveland Browns at last year’s trade deadline for a 2025 fifth-round pick.

Peoples-Jones played sparingly as the Lions’ fifth receiver last season but could move up the depth chart this season.

Josh Reynolds, who played as the Lions’ No. 2 and 3 receiver last season, is an unrestricted free agent.

The Lions return leading receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, plus Jameson Williams, Kalif Raymond and Antoine Green from last season. They still could look to address the position in the draft.
