Detroit Lions RB Mohamed Ibrahim has hip surgery, stays night in Baltimore-area hospital
BALTIMORE — Detroit Lions running back Mohamed Ibrahim will spend the night in a Baltimore-area hospital Sunday after undergoing surgery to repair a dislocated hip.
Ibrahim, who was promoted from the Lions' practice squad for Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, was injured on a kick return midway through the third quarter.
Lions players immediately began waving to the sideline for medical help after Ibrahim was tackled following a 22-yard return. He was loaded onto a stretcher and taken off the field by cart.

Lions coach Dan Campbell said early indications are that Ibrahim will "be OK."
"But he’s going to say here overnight," Campbell said. "He’s tough. I hate that for him, but that certainly puts a strain on our team."
The Lions entered Sunday shorthanded at running back with leading rusher David Montgomery out with a rib injury and backup Craig Reynolds battling toe and hamstring injuries.
Jahmyr Gibbs returned from a two-game absence, caused by a strained hamstring, Sunday to rush for 68 yards, and Reynolds had three carries for 16 yards in limited action off the bench.
Lions return man Kalif Raymond also left Sunday's game with cramping, Campbell said, while linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, who played some snaps on offense as a fullback, suffered an ankle injury.
Rodriguez limped through the locker room after the game but said his ankle was "all good."
