Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 13 game

The New Orleans Saints (5-6) and Detroit Lions (8-3) both seek to rebound from tough losses in a Week 13 matchup at Caesars Superdome.

The Saints return home after being battered 24-15 by the Atlanta Falcons. Derek Carr threw for 300 yards for the fifth game this season, but failed to score a touchdown for the second straight matchup. Tyrann Mathieu had two interceptions.

The Lions had a few extra days to rebound from a 29-22 Thanksgiving loss to the Green Bay Packers. Jared Goff lost three fumbles. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs combined for 125 rushing yards and Montgomery had a rushing score.

Will Detroit be the dominant team they've shown in other games? Or will the Saints snag the home win?

Lorenzo Reyes: Lions 31, Saints 20

I think this is a great buy-low spot for the Lions. They have turned the ball over too much the last two weeks and know their offensive operation needs to be far cleaner. The Saints are 2-8-1 against the spread this season, 0-4 against the spread at home and have injury questions at receiver with Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (quad) sustaining injuries in Week 12 against the Falcons.

Tyler Dragon: Lions 28, Saints 21

The Lions were stunned on Thanksgiving by the Packers. Maybe they were reading their own press clippings after winning three in a row. Detroit bounces back in New Orleans this week against a Saints squad that struggles with consistency.

Safid Deen: Lions 27, Saints 20

The Lions bounce back after their Thanksgiving loss to the Packers, while the Saints need to make a quarterback change if they’re gonna salvage their season.

Victoria Hernandez: Lions 27, Saints 20

The Lions will have had a few days to recover from their gnarly Thanksgiving beatdown. They face an uphill battle in a loud dome on the road, but Jared Goff should be able to protect the ball better and his duo of running backs are solid.

Jordan Mendoza: Lions 27, Saints 22

The Lions have shown cracks in recent weeks that should question how legit the defense is. A true test comes against a New Orleans offense trying to break through and stay in the playoff picture. However, Detroit’s offense is too good to drop another game.
