Sep 9, 2022; Bronx, New York, USA; Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is honored prior to the game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

For the first time since his retirement from the game of baseball in 2014, Derek Jeter will be a part of Yankees Old-Timers’ Day.

This year’s event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9 ahead of a matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers, will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1998 World Series championship team, with 29 members of that team, including Jeter, scheduled to be in attendance.

The Yankees previously honored Jeter in September 2022 for his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020. It was his first public appearance at Yankee Stadium in five years, as he had previously served as CEO and was a minority owner of the Miami Marlins.

As of now, 43 members of the Yankees family are scheduled to be in attendance at Yankee Stadium, including Tino Martinez, Paul O’Neil, Joe Torre, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, Hideki Matsui, and many others.
