Defending Memorial Tournament champion Billy Horschel knows Urban Meyer well enough to know one thing: Meyer is finished coaching.

Horschel and the former Ohio State football coach are connected by the University of Florida, where the PGA Tour pro went to school and where Meyer coached from 2005-10, winning two national titles.

Horschel said that when the two former Gators bumped into each other in Chicago last month, Meyer told him he was done coaching. Meyer said the job took too much out of him, plus the college game has changed so much with NIL and the transfer rules that he would need to change his methods to be successful. That, and the three-time national champion, which includes the 2014 title with the Buckeyes, is enjoying his TV gig with Fox and loves being around his grandchildren.

As much as anything, the "boss" does not want her husband back on the sideline, Horschel said.

"I looked at (Shelley) and she nodded (when Urban said he was done coaching)," Horschel said, chuckling.

Meyer's college record is 187-32, including 83-9 at Ohio State. His brief stint in the NFL was a different story. He went 2-11 with Jacksonville before being fired.
