It's time for everyone's favorite part of the week: The Gainesville Sun Athlete of the Week Poll!

Here are the best of the bunch for high school sports events held April 8-15.

Coaches, administrators, friends and family, if you think someone is worthy of being nominated, please send their name, stats and why they should be nominated to Nram@gannett.com by Sunday afternoon.

Addison Allaire, Trenton Softball

Six RBIs, five hits, eight runs and a home run in games vs Chiefland, Columbia and Branford. Also struck out 18 battles vs the Tigers and Bucs.

Andrew Jimenez, Oak Hall Boys Lacrosse

Has led the Eagles to several wins in his position in Midfield. He is quick, methodical and has competed in several Lacrosse Invitationals.

3-4 at the plate with three runs, two RBIs and a home run in the Raiders 10-4 win over Menendez Friday

Hollie Pabst, Newberry Softball

Six hits, six runs, eight RBIs and a home run in three wins for the Panthers over Wildwood, PK Yonge and Hawthorne

Four hits, three runs, eight RBIs and two home runs for the Raiders in games vs Columbia and two wins vs PK Yonge.

Josh Morison, Newberry Baseball

Four hits, three runs, three RBIs and a home run in two wins vs Eastside. On the mound, he shutout and beat the Rams Monday.

Madyson Sikes, Branford Softball

Four hits, three RBIs, two runs and a home run for the Bucs in games vs Middleburg, Trenton and Bell.

McKenna O’Sullivan, GHS Softball

Batted .454 for the week with 4 RBIs including a 6th inning solo HR against Suwannee that ended a scoreless tie Friday night, contributing to a 3-1 GHS win. Also totaled five hits, three runs, five RBIs in two wins over Bradford.

Rocco Iovinelli, Bell Baseball

Three hits, six RBIs and a double in wins over Countryside Christian and Dixie County.

Trayce McKenzie, Columbia Baseball

Seven hits, five runs, two home runs and four RBIs for Tigers in games vs Santa Fe, Bishop Kenny and IMG Black

Wyatt Clarke, Buchholz Baseball

Clarke came into pitch vs The Villages with his team behind 3-5 and pitched 4 innings allowing 0 runs scored, 10 strikeouts, 2 hits, and 1 walk. He ended up getting the win as Buchholz came back to win 9-5 last Tuesday.
