Meet the All-Gainesville Area Boys Soccer Team, Player of the Year

Out in Clay County, Aaron Wiley and his Keystone Heights Indians often sit in an odd spot.

The town itself sits about 25 miles from Gainesville and 55 from Jacksonville, meaning KH often plays schools from both areas.

In fact, the only Alachua County schools Wiley played this season were PK Yonge and Newberry.

This meant Wiley spend much of the season flying under the radar.

With his stats, it shouldn't be that way.

Wiley ranked in the top four in Florida and top 31 nationally in goals and points, blowing away the local competition.

With those numbers, Wiley is an easy choice for the Sun's All-Gainesville Area Boys Soccer Player of the Year.

Wiley scored 37 goals and 86 points, adding in 12 assists.

Keystone Heights failed to beat PK Yonge in the 3A-District 4 Final and earn a spot in regionals, but with Wiley back next season, the expectations for him and the team will be sky high.

Below is the full All-Gainesville Area Boys Soccer team. The first and second team, with 11 players each, comes from 11 schools across Classes 2A-6A.

Way out in Gilchrist County, Bell only began its boys soccer program six years ago. 2024 was just its third season in an FHSAA district, and under Beard, the Bulldogs got within a game of the Class 2A State Semifinals.

Bell defeated Academy of the Lakes and Community Christian in the 2A-Region 1 postseason to advance to the Regional Final. This is despite the Bulldogs only fielding four upperclassmen.

All this makes Beard the easy choice for the Sun's Coach of the Year.
