Darvin Ham: Anthony Davis was on the court on Saturday

Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis was on an absolute tear when he suffered a stress injury in his right foot on Dec. 16.

In the 13 games prior to his injury, he was averaging 32.4 points on 64.1% shooting, 14 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots per game. During that span, he was arguably the best player in the NBA.

The Lakers have struggled at times without Davis in the lineup, although they had a five-game winning streak before losing their last two.

Davis has reportedly been making positive progress in his rehab, according to head coach Darvin Ham.

Los Angeles is 19-23. Although it is one game behind the Phoenix Suns for 10th place in the Western Conference and two games behind the Los Angeles Clippers for sixth place, every loss from here on out will carry greater weight compared to November and December.
