Danielle Mahaffey named Honorable Mention All-America

Tennessee volleyball player Danielle Mahaffey has been named an Honorable Mention All-America standout.

Mahaffey, a senior middle blocker for the Lady Vols, received recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native had 183 kills and a career-high 139 blocks for Tennessee. She also posted a .380 hitting percentage and averaged 1.39 blocks per set, which was second best in the Southeastern Conference. That was also the sixth best mark in Lady Vols’ history.

Mahaffey, a graduate of Northwest High School in Cincinnati, recorded 329 career blocks, 10th most in UT history.

She also posted a career average of 0.90 blocks per set, that ranks 15th all-time in Lady Vols’ history during the rally scoring era.
