Dalton Kincaid follows up first career TD with shout out to Utes and their 4th straight win ‘over that school in California’

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid speaks at a news conference following an NFL football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, in Orchard Park, N.Y.

Dalton Kincaid was already a fan favorite among University of Utah fans, but he likely earned more love from the Utes fan base Thursday night.

The Buffalo Bills rookie tight end scored his first career NFL touchdown on Thursday in the Bills’ 24-16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hauling in a 22-yard reception late in the second quarter.

That was part of a standout night for Kincaid, as he finished with five receptions for 65 yards, including a toe-tapping grab in the second half.

Over the past two weeks, Kincaid has caught 13 passes for 140 yards.

After Thursday’s game, he jumped on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” for an interview with Scott Van Pelt to talk about the win.

During that interview, Kincaid mentioned the success Utah is enjoying this season, including a thrilling 34-32 win over USC last week in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

“My Utes are coming off a big win. That’s four in a row over that school in California,” he told Van Pelt. “I was stoked watching that one. That was awesome.”

Will Kincaid be on hand when No. 13 Utah faces No. 8 Oregon on Saturday, a game that is bringing ESPN’s “College GameDay” back to Salt Lake City?

“They do have a big one this weekend,” he said. “I haven’t made a decision yet if I’m going or not.”

“Appreciate it. Go Utes,” he said.
