Daily Sports Smile: Seahawks players share celebrity lookalikes

NFL players can be celebrities in their own right as people aspire to have the talent or swagger that they possess. Or, in the case of Aaron Rodgers, you can just have a fan look eerily similar to you.

But the Seattle Seahawks flipped the script last week when the team asked its players who their celebrity lookalikes are.

Quarterback Drew Lock said he used to have long hair that made him look like teenage heartthrob Troy Bolton, the "High School Musical" basketball star played by Zac Efron.

Rookie linebacker Boye Mafe might not be as recognizable on the streets as some of his famous teammates, but he said his celebrity lookalike is a young 50 Cent.

Fellow linebacker Cody Barton said people tell him he also looks like a musician, Justin Bieber.

Defensive end Quinton Jefferson says he looks like Shaq "or any other Black bald guy."

Both tackle Charles Cross and wide receiver Dareke Young take pride in saying they look like actor Morris Chestnut, who is known for his good looks. The rookies are 21 and 23 years old respectively, a solid 30 years younger than the 53-year-old actor. Maybe they see themselves more as Ricky from "Boyz n the Hood" than Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr.

Guard Austin Blythe said that he's been compared to actor Kevin James and suggested that the similarities might go beyond looks.

"If I didn't play football, yeah, I probably could be a mall cop," he said.

Veteran wide receiver Tyler Lockett has been told he looks like Kel Mitchell, whose famous character Ed in "Good Burger" has a head of hair and a famous tagline. While Lockett might not have the signature braids, he does a pretty good job of asking if he can take your order.
