It's decision week in Mountain West volleyball.

Colorado State hosts two pivotal matches in the final week of the regular season with conference tournament seeding on the line.

The Rams are 16-11 overall and 10-6 in the MW. CSU is tied with New Mexico and Fresno State for the second-best conference record.

The Mountain West tournament includes the top six teams in the league, with the top two earning first-round byes.

CSU could finish as high as second, and the Rams host New Mexico at 7 p.m. Thursday at Moby Arena. The Rams then finish the season at 6 p.m. Saturday at Moby against Air Force (17-10, 9-7 MW), currently fifth in the league and also battling for positioning in the tight race for seeding.

While CSU could finish second, there's also a path where the Rams could miss the MW tournament. These are big home matches to finish the regular season.

The MW tournament is Nov. 22-24 in Las Vegas, with the tournament winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

CSU's lone path to the NCAA Tournament is to win the MW.

CSU cross country to nationals

CSU's women's cross country team will compete in the NCAA championships Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The race begins at 8:20 a.m. MT and can be seen on ESPNU.

The Rams placed sixth in the NCAA Mountain Regional and earned an at-large berth to the championship. It's CSU's 13th trip to the championships and fourth consecutive appearance. CSU is one of 31 teams selected to participate in the championship. Sarah Carter was an automatic qualifier after an eighth-place finish at the Mountain Regional.
