BASEBALL

Division I

Cranston East 6, Central 4

Despite being down 4-0 after the first inning, Cranston East pitchers Jayven Alejandre and John Devine shut down Central the rest of the way allowing the offense to rally back for the victory. Jayden Tolentino struck the big blow for the Thunderbolts with a two-run double and Carlos Merejo and Angell Garcia each had two hits and an RBI. Adonis Medina belted a three-run home run for the Knights.

North Kingstown 6, Portsmouth 4

The Skippers scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th on RBIs from Quincy Rome to tie the game and a game winning 2 run single by Will Brew. North Kingstown offense saw 4 hits by Andew Ciarniello, 3 hits by Brew and Robinson Lamond and 2 hits by Brady Spitzer. For Portsmouth, John Mass and Caleb Banks has 2 hits apiece.

Westerly's Lance Williams makes a play from his knees during a game against Smithfield earlier this week. On Friday, he scored three goals in the Bulldogs' win over Narragansett.

BOYS LACROSSE

Division III

Westerly 10, Narragansett 6

Lance Williams recorded a hat trick, Alex Luzzi and Matt Horton each had a pair of goals, and Liam Cody had three assists, propelling the Bulldogs past the Mariners. Narraganset was led by Dante Iannelli, who also had 3 tallies while Lucas Masson had 2 goals and an assist.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Division II

Cumberland 10, Mt. Hope 9

Cumberland's Gwen Ross led all scorers with five goals, including the game-winning tally in the third overtime in a win over Mt. Hope. Izzy Beitler added two goals and Maddie Estes had 10 saves in the victory. The Huskies' Arden Wilkes and Emma Serbst, had three and two goals, respectively, and Emily Moran recorded three saves in goal.

SOFTBALL

Division I

North Kingstown 16, Prout 6

Jaiden Harding had three hits and four RBI and Julianna Bucci had two hits and also drove in four runs as the Skippers rolled to a 16-6 victory over Prout. Mia D'Andrea pitched four innings of relief, allowing only one run to pick up the win.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Division II

Lincoln 3, West Warwick 0 (25-10, 25-21 & 25-11)

Will Denio's 10 kills, 10 aces, 6 digs and 2 blocks helped pave the way for the Lions' victory over the Wizards. Others contributing to the win were Tyler Dickinson (9 kills, 6 blocks, 4 digs), Austin Noel (20 assists, 2 blocks) and Jacques Guerrier (23 digs). Nate Vanasse recorded 9 kills and 4 blocks for West Warwick.

Central 3, Toll Gate 0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-14)

Jet Nascimento finished with 9 kills, 17 digs and 1 block, Juan Feliz added 4 aces, 9 digs and scored 12 straight points, and Josh Ramirez chipped in with 21 assists, 7 digs and 3 aces as the Knights cruised.
