Although Super Bowl LI was absolutely amazing, cover32 will move on from Super Bowl trivia in this week’s edition of the Trivia Blitz. We have yet to receive any comments with all five questions answered correctly; hopefully this week is easier for our readers.

For those of you new to this article — cover32 comes up with five questions for Friday’s question portion. Then, on Monday, the answers are revealed and published with some of the best answers and responses from readers.

Without further gilding of the lily, here are the questions for this week’s cover32 trivia blitz.

Question One

I know I said we would stay away from Super Bowl trivia but how strange would it be to say the Boston Patriots just won the Super Bowl?

1. In what year did the Boston Patriots become the New England Patriots?

Question Two

Sticking with the theme of years and rule changes — how odd would it be to have a touchdown be worth five points instead of six? This used to be the case as many, many years ago a touchdown was worth only five points instead of six.

2. In which year did the NFL switch the touchdowns from five to six points?

Question Three

It would be hard to imagine playing a game like football without seeing very well. However, 1977 was the first year a player wore a pair of glasses in a NFL game.

3. Which current Hall Of Famer was the first to don a pair of glasses in a NFL game?

Question Four

The NFL Draft is just around the corner, my friends. The very first post-merger NFL/AFL draft was held in 1967 at the Gotham Hotel in New York City, New York. 445 players were selected in the 17-round affair with only six of those players eventually being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

4. What are the names of the first and the last player to be selected in the first NFL/AFL Draft?

Question Five

This week we will again do a “who am I” question for the fifth and final question in this week’s quiz. With the brief clues, readers should be able to get this week’s teaser with little difficulty.

5. “I have a head coaching record of 318-14-31. I served in the U.S. Navy on two separate occasions and I am in the Pro Football hall of fame. I was also the first NFL head coach to eclipse the 300-win threshold. Who am I?”

Finish

A preemptive congratulations goes out to all that can successfully answer all five of the questions without any internet help. They are not the toughest five questions to ever be asked but they should give you fellow reader plenty of a challenge.

Good luck to all and be sure to check back on cover32, Yahoo Sports, Twitter and Facebook to find the answers on Monday. We encourage you to leave your answers in the comments section below The greatest answers, good and bad, will be used in Monday’s follow-up piece.
