cover32’s Week 10 NFL Pick’ems

Michael Jaycox (6-7)
Picks: Dolphins, Browns, Titans, Rams, Chiefs

It’s the week of the upsets! Watching this Cleveland team all year, they’re not an 0-9 team. They’re bad, but not that bad. If they’re going to get that one win, though, it might have to be this week, as their schedule doesn’t get any better after Sunday.

With the other picks, it’s as simple as this: The league is full of crappy teams. Aside from the Patriots and Cowboys, everyone else can get beat at any point. I’d take the underdogs across the board

Last week: Broncos, Panthers, Chiefs, Packers, Steelers; (2-3)

Brandon Scott (9-5)
Picks: Falcons, Panthers, Texans, Cardinals, Patriots

Unlike last season, the Atlanta Falcons continue to elude a second half collapse as they win in Philadelphia prior to their bye week. Carolina’s pass rush was reinvigorated two weeks ago and if any talk of a playoff return remains, they must win at home. Houston controls the AFC South and will continue to do so with a win over Jacksonville. Arizona defeats San Francisco and the New England Patriots win at home in prime time.

Last week: Falcons, Chiefs, Cowboys, Panthers, Packers; (4-1)

Austin Erwin (6-7)
Picks: Vikings, Panthers, Falcons, Steelers, Patriots

The Vikings will find a way to win in the nation’s capital and turn the tide after a three game losing streak. Week 10 is a must win for Minnesota. The Panthers will look to add a third straight victory and their fourth total as they take on the Chiefs. Cam Newton should come alive at home. Despite traveling into a hostile environment, Atlanta’s offensive firepower will be too much for Philadelphia. In Pittsburgh, the smooth rolling Cowboys are coming to town. To bad for the Boys, the steel city will leave them bruised and battered. Sunday Night’s matchup between Seattle and New England will be a good one, but the Patriots will have too much momentum at home in Foxborough.

Last week: Broncos, Chargers, Browns, Vikings, Panthers; (2-3)

Justin Ekstrom (8-5)
Picks: Packers, Redskins, Cardinals, Panthers, Patriots

I finally had a solid week when picking games so the philosophy will stay the same this week. The Green Bay Packers jinx will continue hopefully as I choose them to go to Tennessee and defeat the Titans. The Washington Redskins hold steady at home to take care of the struggling Minnesota Vikings who suddenly look like an average team, at best. The Arizona Cardinals come off the bye week and destroy the San Francisco 49ers even though Colin Kaepernick amassed over 400 yards last week. Then in just a gut-feeling type game, I see the Carolina Panthers taking care of business over a decent Kansas City Chiefs team. This is the week Carolina finally beats a good team at home. Lastly, the New England Patriots take care of business against a suddenly healthy looking Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.

Last week: Packers, Seahawks, Cowboys, Chiefs, Saints; (4-1)

Miles Dittberner (9-5)
Picks: Falcons, Cardinals, Steelers, Chargers, Jaguars

Carson Wentz has struggled when facing more difficult opponents and should have trouble keeping pace with Matt Ryan and the Falcons top-ranked offense. The Cardinals have been one of the league’s bigger disappointments but should have little difficulty with the even more disappointing 49ers. The Steelers’ offense will present Dak Prescott with his biggest test of the year. If they are able to get going early, the young rookie may not be able to keep pace. The Dolphins were not built to keep up with teams like the Chargers, who can put points on the board in a hurry, and could find themselves on the wrong side of a blowout on Sunday. The Texans have yet to win on the road and given the struggles of Brock Osweiler, will probably keep it that way in Jacksonville in week 10.

Last week: Cowboys, Chiefs, Saints, Packers, Chargers; (4-1)
