COUNTY VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT (JV): West Point knocks off Fairview for title
Oct. 5—HANCEVILLE — It took three hard-fought sets, but West Point eventually reigned supreme on Thursday night.
The top-seeded Warriors bested No. 2 Fairview (25-21, 18-25, 15-8) to win the Cullman County Junior Varsity Volleyball Tournament at Hanceville's Lane Horton Gymnasium.
"We're very happy," West Point coach Samantha Bryson said. "After that second set, I just told them to keep pushing and keep fighting like Warriors. We worked all season to get to this point and we weren't going to leave here any other way than as champions. I'm just really proud of the girls. They've worked hard and they're really good kids. I couldn't ask for a better team."
