Cooperstown, Edmeston boys cruise to home wins

Dec. 11—The Cooperstown boys basketball team took down Poland 63-47 at home Monday in Center State Conference action.

Charlie Lambert paced the Hawkeyes with 16 points while Cooper Bradley notched a double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Cooper Coleman added 12 points while Brody Murdock had 10 of his own.

Cooperstown (2-2) will visit Waterville Thursday.

Edmeston 50, Unadilla Valley 22

A dominant defensive effort helped Edmeston to a 50-22 non-league win at home against Unadilla Valley.

Braymon Clark finished with a game-high 24 points to go with four steals and three rebounds in the win while Gavin McEnroe put in 11 points, four steals and three rebounds.

Zach Smith led the Storm with seven points.

Edmeston will host Cherry Valley-Springfield Friday while UV's next game will also be against Edmeston on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Spackenkill 62, Oneonta 61 (Sunday)

A late rally by Oneonta fell just short as the Yellowjackets dropped the final of the Anthony Drago Tournament 62-61 to Spackenkill Sunday.

Brady Carr paced OHS with 20 points while Britten Zeh scored 18 and Maddox Imperato and Makya Morrison both finished with 10. The Yellowjackets made 12 three-pointers as a team.

Spackenkill's Nasir Snell was the game's leading scorer with 36 points.

Oneonta (1-1) will be at Chenango Valley Tuesday.

Bainbridge-Guilford 47, Roxbury 32 (Saturday)

Bainbridge-Guilford picked up a 47-32 non-league win over Roxbury at home Saturday.

James Hogroian finished the game with 20 points and nine rebounds for the Bobcats while Timothy Kinter scored eight points.

Roxbury's George Proctor notched 13 points in the loss.

Spackenkill 51, Delhi 28 (Saturday)

Delhi fell to Spackenkill 51-28 Saturday in the second round of the Anthony Drago Tournament in Oneonta.

Chuck Haight led the Bulldogs with nine points in the loss.

Nasir Snell had a game-high 19 points for Spackenkill in the win.

Delhi falls to 1-2 and will host Sidney Friday.

Richfield Springs 77, Cherry Valley-Springfield 56 (Friday)

Richfield Springs cruised to a 77-56 win over Cherry Valley-Springfield on the road Friday.

Dylan Hosford had a game-high 33 points while Alex Baker added 10 points in the win.

Duane Lefevre led CV-S with 22 points while Max Horvath added 10 points in the loss.

RS will host Gilbertsville-Mount Upton at Owen D. Young Friday while CV-S will visit Edmeston the same day.

The Worcester boys rolled to a 70-31 Tri-Valley League win over Sharon Springs at home Friday.

Tyler Head led the way for the Wolverines with 22 points while Matt Sanders and Ryan Prince added 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Head added six rebounds, four blocks and three assists and Prince notched six rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Leading Sharon Springs in scoring were Mike Cashman with 16 points and Ethan Mickel with 15 points.

Worcester will visit Schenevus Tuesday.
