The Crew acquired midfielder Marino Hinestroza via a transfer from Club de Fútbol Pachuca of Mexico's Liga MX.

Hinestroza is a U22 initiative player and will fill an international roster slot.

Under contract through 2026 with a team option for 2027, Hinestroza, 21, will not officially be added to Crew's roster until the MLS transfer window opens on Jan. 31, pending the receipt of his international transfer certificate.

The Colombia native made his debut with C.F. Pachuca in the 2022-23 season, where he appeared in 46 matches and helped the club win the 2022 Liga MX’s Apertura title.

"Marino performed at a high level for Pachuca this past year, and we are excited to help further advance this young player’s development,” Crew president and general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement. "He is a talented individual who can fit various roles within our style of play, including adding a one-v-one threat to our attack.”
