Columbus Clippers score twice in ninth to top Omaha Storm Chasers for 3rd consecutive win

Saturday's game: Columbus 4, Omaha 3

Recap: Angel Martinez singled home Daniel Schneemann and Juan Brito in the bottom of the ninth to give the Clippers their third consecutive win. George Valera opened the ninth by getting hit by a pitch from Evan Sisk. Schneemann then was inserted as a pinch runner and moved to second on a passed ball, then to third on a groundout. Dylan Coleman replaced Sisk and walked Brito and Bryan Rocchio before Martinez hit the game-winner. Martinez was 3 for 5 with three RBIs. Columbus starter Jerad Eichoff allowed three runs on eight hits in seven innings, and Chris Vallimont (4-6) pitched two shutout innings.
