Columbus Blue Jackets fans furious after Bally Sports+ 'widespread outage.' What to know

The Blue Jackets had a game to remember Thursday night.

Trailing 2-1 heading into the third period, the Blue Jackets used goals by captain Boone Jenner, defenseman Erik Gudbranson and an empty-netter by Johnny Gaudreau to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 for their fourth win of the season.

But only a select number of Blue Jackets fans got to witness the entire game.

After Bally Sports' service provider experienced a "widespread outage" for the Blue Jackets' Oct. 30 loss to the Dallas Stars on its Bally Sports+ app, fans had another streaming issue Thursday night.

According to the "BallySportsHelp" account on X (formerly Twitter), the streaming issue was fixed for all customers at 10:44 p.m., nearly an hour after the Blue Jackets game against the Lightning was complete.

And Blue Jackets fans were not happy.
