College football scores, updates: Ohio State beats Notre Dame on dramatic last-second TD

Chip Trayanum ran for a 1-yard touchdown with 1 second left in the game to give No. 6 Ohio State a 17-14 win over No. 9 Notre Dame in a wild finish at South Bend.

It looked like the Irish had the win in hand, but the Buckeyes and quarterback Kyle McCord engineered a clutch drive in the final minutes to pull off the most heart-stopping victory of the season so far.

That was just part of a Week 4 slate that was one of the most loaded in recent memory, with six ranked-on-ranked matchups, and that didn't even include the Florida State's thrilling 31-24 overtime win over Clemson that had everyone on the edge of their seats.

In one of the marquee games of the day, No. 10 Oregon absolutely throttled Deion Sanders and the No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes to the tune of 42-6. No. 13 Alabama, meanwhile, appeared to find its footing after a rough couple weeks, handling No. 15 Ole Miss, 24-10. No. 11 Utah played another game without starting QB Cam Rising, but handled its business at home against No. 22 UCLA with a dominant defensive outing.

Later, in a battle of the last two remaining teams in the crumbling Pac-12, No. 21 Washington State upended No. 14 Oregon State 38-35 in an exciting tilt in Pullman.
