Clemson makes the College Football Playoff in USA TODAY Sports 2023 bowl projections
The 2023 college football season has started as Week 0 is behind us with fans looking forward to Week 1 action where their favorite teams could be taking the field for the first time.
For the Tigers, it is a September 4 matchup at Duke that fans are waiting for that will kickoff what could be a special season for the Clemson football program. Will Clemson make their long awaited return to the College Football Playoff in 2023, or will it be a season where the Tigers are once again on the outside looking in?
Opinions vary here. There are many who believe the ACC is Florida State’s conference to lose while others, but seemingly less lean Clemson. Whoever wins the conference, has a strong chance to make a CFP appearance and represent the ACC.
USA TODAY Sports recently released their bowl projections for 2023, with the Tigers making the playoff with a Sugar Bowl appearance against Georgia. This is as far as the Tigers went, with Georgia projected to face Alabama in the championship game.
