Clemson listed as finalist for four-star edge

Clemson continues to make noise this week in the recruiting world.

According to On3Recruits, four-star edge Colton Vasek has listed Clemson as a top-five finalist, with Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech being the other four schools.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder is from Austin, Texas, and attends Westlake High School, the same high school Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik attended before he joined the Tigers in the spring. Ranked as the No. 27 edge in the class of 2023 by 247Sports Composite, Vasek earned 38 offers before cutting his list down on Thursday night.

According to MaxPreps, Vasek had 56 total tackles, six tackles for loss and 10 sacks in 14 games as a junior. He is set to officially visit Clemson on June 3, along with 30 other 2023 recruits

Clemson’s 2023 class currently has four commits, with four-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina and four-star wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph highlighting the group. If Vasek were to commit, he would certainly elevate Clemson’s class ranking, which On3 currently ranks as No. 11 in the country.
