Clements girls dominate Pike County to make 3A final
Feb. 28—BIRMINGHAM — The Clements girls basketball team is headed to the Class 3A championship game after running through Pike County, 56-25, today in the semifinals at Legacy Arena.
Clements led 44-17 after three quarters.
The 3A championship game is Friday at 12:30 p.m. Clements will face the winner of today's game between Susan Moore and Trinity Presbyterian.
Taylor Farrar led Clements with 12 points and 5 assists. Leah Childress added 10 points and 5 rebounds.
Clements had an impressive first half that resulted in a 36-11 lead over Pike County. The Colts shot 50 percent from the field and forced 21 Pike County turnovers, which they turned into 29 points.
