The Oklahoman’s championship picks

Jordan Davis: Douglass. Steven Alexander has brought his championship pedigree to the east side of the city, and the Trojans have been dominant with him under the helm. The reigning 4A champions have been on a tear in 2024 and remain unbeaten against in-state competition over the last two years. Jalen Williams, Landry Ballard, and Davon Scott have always been stellar for Douglass, but the addition of three-star Jaden Nickens has the Trojans poised for a repeat.

Hallie Hart: Douglass. The defending champion Trojans haven’t lost to a team in Oklahoma this year, and head coach Steve Alexander knows how to plan for the best competition. Davon Scott is having a stellar season, and the arrival of Jaden Nickens has further boosted this team.
