Cincinnati Bengals roast their 'haters' on Twitter. Here are the best burns

The Cincinnati Bengals turned 56 years old this week and the team's Twitter account celebrated with some good old-fashioned roasting.

The Bengals tweeted about the team's birthday Wednesday and invited fans of other NFL teams to comment on their post.

"56 years ago today Paul Brown signed the papers that made us an official AFL team," they wrote.

"To celebrate, we will be responding to the haters in the comments below," the team added in another tweet. "Let's have some fun."

It didn't take long for fans of the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and more to chime in.

"(Josh) Allen owns (Joe) Burrow," a Buffalo Bills fan wrote about the two teams' quarterbacks.

"Broncos better," another tweeted.

The Bengals were quick to clap back.

"Zero dates," they wrote to a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who commented, "Zero rings."

The Bengals responded to a handful of commenters and wrapped up the social media savagery in about an hour. At the end, they reminded fans it was "all in good fun."

"Thanks for celebrating our birthday with us," the team tweeted.
