Cincinnati Bengals as high as No. 6 on popular NFL power rankings

The Cincinnati Bengals jumped up in several NFL power rankings this week after their 17-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

The Bengals now head into their bye week 3-3, with quarterback Joe Burrow seemingly on his way to feeling 100% after injuring his calf before the season.

Here's where the Bengals landed on some popular NFL power rankings this week.

USA Today NFL power rankings: No. 12

The 3-3 Bengals moved up 10 places in USA Today's NFL power rankings, landing at No. 12 Tuesday, from No. 22 last week.

The outlet notes: "QB Joe Burrow, WR Tee Higgins and Co. better rest up, though, because they're not scheduled to face a team currently below .500 until Week 15, a stretch that starts with the Niners and Bills."

ESPN NFL power rankings: No. 12

The Bengals also landed at No. 12 on ESPN's NFL power rankings, moving up six spots from 18 last week. Writer Ben Baby pointed to the offense's lack of consistency, especially during their win over the Seahawks.

Yahoo NFL power rankings: No. 12

The Bengals were previously ranked No. 15 by Yahoo and moved up to No. 12 this week. Despite their Week 6 win, NFL and betting writer Frank Schwab said he's not convinced "Cincinnati is all the way back."

"They won because the pass rush, and defensive end Sam Hubbard in particular, made huge plays," Schwab wrote. "It's good to be .500 after an awful start, but don't assume the Bengals are back to being a contender yet."

The Seahawks rank No. 11 on Yahoo's list, one spot above the team that just beat them. Schwab said "Seattle outplayed the Bengals" in Week 6.

NFL power rankings: No. 13

The Bengals moved up two places on the NFL's official power rankings to No. 13. Journalist Eric Edholm pointed to the offense's lackluster finish against the Seahawks after an energizing start.

"The defense had to go into whatever-it-takes mode, especially as the Seahawks continually drove deep into Cincy territory," Edholm wrote.

Sports Illustrated NFL power rankings: No. 6

The Bengals reached No. 6 on Sports Illustrated's NFL power rankings, moving up four spots from No. 10 last week. The outlet mentioned Burrow's second touchdown pass to Andrei Iosivas as a "great example of his rediscovered pocket mobility."

Writer Conor Orr had nothing negative to say about the Bengals' performance against the Seahawks.
