Cincinnati Bengals fans react after team makes midfield logo decision
The Cincinnati Bengals revealed which logo the team will use at midfield on the new turf at Paycor Stadium.
Going with the traditional “B” logo in the middle of the field was a polarizing decision with fans, though. Some wanted to see the “leaping tiger” in the middle of Paycor Stadium, while some had other ideas entirely.
"The Bengals mulled mockups of other 50-yardline logos, such as the leaping tiger, helmet and tiger head."
"We want our field to be immediately recognizable and our primary logo accomplishes that in a clean, crisp way," says Elizabeth Blackburn. "The 50-yard line is the natural… https://t.co/0YsCYCT9xk pic.twitter.com/g3n6ZIcHOX— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) May 1, 2024
Besides the new turf, it turns out the biggest changes are mere minor tweaks to the yardage numbers and the endzone designs to better match the recent jersey redesigns.
Here’s how fans reacted to the midfield logo news after the team’s reveal this week.

Broken record hour: the #Bengals brand CRIES for this logo to be the primary once and for all. pic.twitter.com/FnRqjlwYit

I would be cool with the growling tiger head only as the mid-field logo. pic.twitter.com/MOaZA5Uf0T

I'm just thankful this isn't the logo in the middle of the new field: pic.twitter.com/TEu8z3u0EH

For all the love for the Bengals' Leaping Tiger, that logo recalls some of the worst teams & stretches in Bengals' history
Sure there were tremedously talented players during that time (young Willie, Dillon, young Chad,Tremaine Mack etc), but the logo represents such a low period— Andre Perrotta (@andreperrotta13) May 1, 2024
I’ve always thought the bengals’ leaping tiger logo looked extremely awkward.
like the head and body were two separate ideas / logos combined into one.
bengal head: great.
whole tiger: not the best
i’d love for them to remake it though.— seth reese † (@SethR94) May 1, 2024
If you’re going to keep a B logo, make the change to this @Bengals https://t.co/rHmjmX82y9 pic.twitter.com/5ovAHtkcjU

This is more recognizable.... pic.twitter.com/D6nDunCnAB— Lorenzo Sorice (@lorenzosorice) May 1, 2024
The “B” isn’t a logo. It’s a font. If you don’t feel you have a tiger logo that’s distinctive enough then MAKE 👏🏻 A 👏🏻 NEW 👏🏻 ONE 👏🏻 @bengals Listen to your loyal fans instead of what you think is the best to grow to new customers. https://t.co/Ykx2Od5gAl

Nah, that primary logo shouldnt be the primary logo, but these should be⬇️ pic.twitter.com/sfKeLhK3nJ— Tim Static™ ❌️ LK-7T2 (@Tim_Static) May 1, 2024
Damn dude. With as good as this current era of the Bengals have been at getting the fans what they want in terms of branding, really surprised they’re sticking with the “B” logo at midfield. Seemed like a no brainer to get people excited with a different look. https://t.co/WzfUTGFSRp
