Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 8 matchup

The Battle of Ohio pens its first chapter of 2022 on Halloween night as Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (4-3) take the trip to Cleveland to face Nick Chubb's Browns (2-5).

The Bengals, who yield a tough assignment for the Kevin Stefanski-coached Browns, will be without standout wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (hip) in this game. With just two wins this season, Cleveland finds itself in a tough position in the standings as the team awaits Deshaun Watson's return from suspension. The game kicks off Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET from FirstEnergy Stadium.

Here's a look at the betting details and USA TODAY's NFL staff picks for the Bengals vs. Browns Week 8 game:

Lorenzo Reyes: Bengals 30, Browns 22

Cincinnati has gone to its bread and butter and is operating almost exclusively out of shotgun. The results have been dominant. Cleveland is a bit banged up, and I don’t think its offense can compete with Joe Burrow and Co.

Jan 9, 2022; Cleveland, Ohio, USA; Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Markus Bailey (51) and defensive tackle Mike Daniels (76) tackle Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (24) during the first quarter at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Safid Deen: Bengals 27, Browns 20

Joe Burrow has found his groove in the last two weeks, and that isn’t great news for the Browns, who fell to 2-5 after a nice start this season. The Bengals win by a touchdown in this Ohio state matchup on Monday night.

Lance Pugmire: Bengals 30, Browns 20

Another road underdog (+3) to consider, but expect that lead to evaporate in the fourth quarter Monday night as Cleveland wastes a strong season from Nick Chubb.

Jarrett Bell: Browns 27, Bengals 24

Nate Davis: Bengals 27, Browns 24

Tyler Dragon: Bengals 28, Browns 20
