Ever since Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines announced that they bought the historic Elite Café in December, fans of the HGTV stars have been waiting with great anticipation for news about the opening of Chip’s Waco, Texas, restaurant. Now, six months later, there’s a new update on the building with an anticipated opening timeline and — most importantly — a name.

According to a blog post on the Gaineses’ website, they’ll be calling the renovated and revamped restaurant Magnolia Table.

And, like with their home renovations, the Gaineses are taking great care with their new diner, while still maintaining its historic building.

“We’ve spent a good amount of time finalizing the design of the new restaurant — from carefully choosing finishes, textures, and paint colors, to designing the tables, chairs, and light fixtures. I love getting to bring all of the design details together. The building was actually recognized as a historic landmark about 20 years ago, which essentially ensures that aspects of the original character stay intact,” Joanna wrote. “Figuring out how to restore the building and seamlessly incorporate new and creative design elements into the mix while staying true to the original features has been one of my favorite parts of the design process.”

As for the menu, Joanna revealed that Magnolia Table will be open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. In addition to Chip’s world-famous ham sandwich, other items being tested for inclusion include an eggs Benedict, the Gaines Brothers Burger, homemade biscuits, and “crafted” jams.

If all continues to go well with the renovation project, the Gaineses hope to open Magnolia Table’s doors by the end of the year. If news of a Fixer Upper restaurant isn’t enough for you, click here to read about 13 more celebrity-owned restaurants around the world.
