Chiefs vs. Jaguars kickoff set for Saturday afternoon

The Kansas City Chiefs will officially host the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC’s divisional round of the playoffs and we now know exactly when the game will be played.

The NFL announced that the Chiefs will face the Jaguars on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 3:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on NBC and you’ll be able to stream it on Peacock. The New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles will take the prime-time spot on FOX. The Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will play on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. CT and the final NFC matchup will be played on Sunday night.

The dates and times for the AFC and NFC Championship Games are also set, should the Chiefs advance.

This afternoon slot in the divisional round isn’t exactly great news for Kansas City if you’re the superstitious type. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has never lost a game played on Saturday, be it in his high school, college, or NFL career. He’s undefeated in his 37 carer games played on a Saturday.

Lawrence has never played the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes on a Saturday before and they’re already 1-0 against him this season. We’ll see if they can manage to serve him his first career loss on Saturday.
