Chiefs: 3 Players to Watch Against Steelers

The Chiefs hit the road to play the Steelers this weekend at Heinz Field. With so many players to watch on both sides, let’s focus on three that could be crucial in the outcome of this week four AFC matchup.

3. Le’Veon Bell – Steelers RB

It’s expected that Bell will make his season debut after his early-season suspension. Bell, when healthy has been one of the best overall running backs in football. He gives the Steelers’ offense a different dimension than DeAngelo Williams because of his elite speed. He and Antonio Brown are probably the best receiver-running back combo in the league. Expect the Steelers to give Bell the ball a good amount, despite it being his first game back.

2. Marcus Peters – Chiefs DB

Peters had 2 interceptions last week, his second multiple-pick game this season. He will face the toughest test of his young career, likely getting a good helping of Antonio Brown. You have to expect Brown to make a couple big plays based off of experience alone. Peters has shown a great ability to make plays on the ball when he’s thrown at, so look for him to grab at least one pick from the sometimes careless Ben Roethlisberger. It should be a hell of a matchup.

1. Antonio Brown – Steelers WR

Brown is the best receiver in football, bar none, after Calvin Johnson’s retirement. He can do just about anything in terms of short, intermediate or deep routes. He makes Roethlisberger that much better and helps open things up for Pittsburgh’s seemingly never-ending crop of young, explosive receivers. Seeing how he matches up against Peters could be the key factor in this game. Keeping him under 100 yards has to be considered a win for the Chiefs secondary. Even that, however, is easier said than done. As Brown goes, the Steelers tend to go.
