Chicago Bulls’ Nikola Vucevic shows love to Nuggets, Nikola Jokic

As the NBA Playoffs roll on, the Chicago Bulls are sitting on the sidelines. Chicago traded for big man Nikola Vucevic at the 2023 NBA trade deadline. Since then, they made the playoffs once and followed that up by getting bounced in the Play-In Tournament. Now, it’s looking like they could look to make major changes this summer.

But just because the Bulls aren’t involved in the postseason doesn’t mean they’re not watching. Based on his Twitter activity, Vucevic has been paying close attention to this year’s playoffs, in which the Denver Nuggets have dominated. He tweeted about Denver’s play during their series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Nikola Jokic has led the charge for the Nuggets, and Vucevic complimented their team play. He noted how well everyone plays around Jokic, sticking to the gameplan and playing their roles to perfection.

“It’s very impressive how disciplined Denver is, everyone sticks to their role, their spacing is really good, always in the right spots when Jokic gets doubled.
Unstoppable in transition too,” Vucevic tweeted.

Throughout the course of the playoffs, Jokic has been putting up monster numbers. In 14 games played, he has averaged 29.9 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 10.1 assists per game on 54.4% shooting from the field and 47.1% shooting from behind the three-point line.

The Nuggets are currently up 3-0 on the Lakers, on track to make their first NBA Finals in franchise history. Jokic is playing like one of the best players on the planet, and clearly, Vucevic has a ton of respect for the two-time MVP and his squad.
