Charles Barkley birthday post by Phoenix Suns slammed for some reason: 'Destroyed legacy'
The Phoenix Suns posted a message on X Tuesday, wishing Charles Barkley a happy birthday.
But the post backfired with a lot of the comments asking the team to delete the post, while slamming his legacy with the NBA franchise because of remarks he has made about the Suns, and some of the team's players, as an analyst with TNT.
People have become critical of the critic, evidently.
But should they really be so critical of a simple birthday post honoring the Suns legend?
Barkley may talk and he may stir up some controversy, but nothing will ever change the fact that he won an MVP award with Phoenix and almost led the team to an NBA title in 1992-93.
In four seasons with the Suns, he played in 280 games, averaging 23.4 points per game, 11.5 rebounds per game and 4.4 assists per game.
He's in the team's Ring of Honor and will always be viewed as one of the greatest players to put on a Suns uniform.
Many on social media did not like the Suns' Sir Charles Birthday post, however.

Social media slammed the Suns' Charles Barkley birthday post, for some reason:
Barkley's recent NBA All-Star Game comments about Kevin Durant being a "follower" and his recent omission of Devin Booker from his All-Star Game picks were among the reasons given for Suns' fans angst at the post, as well as the popular "Barkley is a Suns hater" mantra.
Others talked about how Barkley had "tarnished his reputation" and "destroyed his legacy" with his comments about the Suns as an analyst.

How do you view Charles Barkley's legacy with the Suns?
We pointed out above that none of what Barkley has said off the court takes away what he did on the court in Phoenix, at least in our humble opinion.
But evidently people don't agree with us, judging by their comments to a birthday post by the Suns wishing the NBA legend a happy birthday.
Everyone's a critic. Even of a simple birthday post.
Do you think Charles Barkley's words off the court have tarnished his legacy with the Suns?
