What channel is Detroit Pistons game vs. Golden State Warriors? Time, TV, stream

Monday's matchup between the Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors will be a showdown of two teams trending in very different directions.

Both squads lost their first game of the season and then won their next two games after that. But that's when the similarities end. After jumping off to a 2-1 start, the Pistons come into Monday's game on a four-game losing streak, while the Warriors continued their momentum after Game 3 by blowing out the New Orleans Pelicans and then winning nailbiters against the Sacramento Kings and Oklahoma City Thunder. That hit a speedbump in Cleveland, however, as the Warriors fell to the Cavaliers for the first time in 17 games; they never got within five points in the second half.

The Pistons have struggled to control the controllables over the losing streak; Turnovers and fouls have made things far too easy for their opponents. The turnovers can probably be at least in part chalked up to the lack of spacing the Pistons have in the lineups they have been playing. For example, in their starting lineup alone, the Pistons have three non-shooters (Jalen Duren, Killian Hayes and Ausar Thompson), plus Isaiah Stewart, who is a willing shooter, but does not command the respect from opposing defenses that many of the league's top stretch-fours do.

SUNDAY'S GAME: Detroit Pistons scorched by Phoenix Suns, 120-106, as Kevin Durant scores 41

All of that has created limited room to operate for the Pistons star and key cog, Cade Cunningham, who has been uncharacteristically careless with the ball, including on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns, when he finished with six turnovers and six assists. Entering Sunday's game, Cunningham was already leading the NBA in turnovers per game.

The Warriors, however, have made a somewhat wonky fit look mostly seamless with the addition of Chris Paul. Golden State traded for the 11-time All-NBA point guard in the offseason and some immediately questioned how his contrasting style may fit within the Warriors offense. So far, so good. Paul has taken to a bench role thus far and has found success with a wide variety of different pairings. In 78 minutes over their first six games with Gary Payton III and Dario Šarić, two members of the bench unit, the trio had a plus-18.5 rating per 100 possessions. In addition, Paul had a plus-25.5 rating in 47 minutes alongside Steph Curry and Kevon Looney, two starters. The moral of the story is that Paul and the Warriors are making it work thus far and will provide a tough challenge for the Pistons.

Pistons injury report vs. Warriors

The Pistons are still down a trio of potential rotation players: forwards Bojan Bogdanovic (calf strain) and Isaiah Livers (ankle sprain) and point guard Monte Morris (quad strain). All three will be reevaluated by late November. Meanwhile, Alec Burks (forearm contusion) was listed as a game-time decision on Sunday, but ultimately didn't go.

Jaden Ivey was added to the Pistons' injury report late on Sunday and missed the game against the Suns because of an illness. His status for the game Monday is unknown.

For an older team, the Warriors have been relatively healthy thus far after getting Draymond Green back on Oct. 29. Green missed the first two games with an ankle sprain but replaced Chris Paul in the starting lineup once he returned and is averaging 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and six assists.

Klay Thompson picked up an injury in Friday's crazy game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With it being a back-to-back, his status is unknown for Monday.
