Arizona has made it past the super-regional round of the NCAA Tournament 25 times in program history, with the last coming in 2022. The Wildcats, who rank second in NCAA Softball Tournament history with eight national championship titles, have made the WCWS three out of the last five years. Note: the NCAA Tournament/WCWS was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is the first time since the 2022 season that the Wildcats and Cowgirls will square off, with Oklahoma State taking that game 4-2 in the WCWS in Oklahoma City. Arizona leads the all-time series 19-10-1 against OSU.

Leading the way for Oklahoma State — which won the Stillwater Regional with wins over Northern Colorado, Kentucky and Michigan — is Carolina Wang (.379/.409/.736) at the plate and Lexi Kilfoyl (1.08 ERA, 24-3 record) inside the circle. Kilfoyl's 1.08 ERA ranks second in the nation only behind Stanford's NiJaree Canady.
