Central gymnastics sweep District 2-6A Championship in front of home crowd
The San Angelo Central boys and girls gymnastics teams claimed first place in the District 2-6A Championships at the James R. White Gymnastics Center on Thursday, March 7.
After two days of competition, the girls team recorded a score of 232.600. The next closest team, was Abilene Wylie who finished with 204.100. Central's Kara Baker took home first place in the All-Around category with a 77.900 score while Caroline Steele placed behind her recording a 76.850 total after the two days.
The boys team also placed first with a total score of 322.100 beating out second-place Odessa Permian who finished with 317.400. Central's Logan Kypfer finished second in the All-Around category scoring 108.00, which was behind Abilene Cooper's Tristan Reyna who had 111.900 points.
