Celtics alum Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis pursuing career as stand-up comedian
There have been more than a few moments of unintentional comedy gold surrounding the NBA and NBA-adjacent life of former Boston Celtics big man and 2008 champion Glen “Big Baby” Davis, including his recent SNAFU that saw him get kicked out of the wrong seats at the Celtics’ recent home game against the Brooklyn Nets.
But not all of the comedic gold being put out into the universe by the onetime Celtics center is an accident — in fact, quite a bit of it is intentional. The Boston alumnus is actually pursuing a career as a stand-up comedian, and if you happen to live in the greater Boston area, you can check out Big Baby’s jokes live for yourself at any number of local venues.
Billed as “a night of nonstop laughter as he takes you on his journey from NBA big man to hilarious stand-up comedian,” Davis has upcoming gigs scheduled for March 25 and 26 at Worcester’s Comedy Attic, April 1 at Foxboros’ Comedy Scene, April 7 at Beverly’s Off Cabot Comedy, and April 15 at Laugh Boston.
You guys may be excited to learn that Glen Davis is going on a comedy tour in Boston/Massachusetts over the next month and change. Here’s the schedule for it. https://t.co/Rg19RushkK pic.twitter.com/sFSGgR0rWU
