CBS Sports tabs Jim Nantz, Tony Romo to call Eagles-Patriots season opener

If the Eagles play this thing right, they’ll open up the season on CBS Sports with Tony Romo and Jim Nantz on the call, and they could finish the year with the same duo in early February.

CBS Sports revealed its game and studio announcer lineup for the 2023 NFL ON CBS season, culminating in Super Bowl LVIII on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+.

Philadelphia will travel to New England in Week 1, and the top announcing team will be on the call in a nationally televised contest that’ll see Tom Brady honored at halftime.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, Philadelphia opened as an early 2.5-point road favorite over New England.

Caesars Sportsbook has the Eagles as a 5-point favorite against a Patriots offense with revamped look after Bill O’Brien returned as offensive coordinator.

Likely one of the NFL’s most expensive opening weekend tickets, the matchup will feature the return of Tom Brady to Foxborough as owner Robert Kraft honors the future Hall of Famer for his 20 years in New England.
