Cavinder twins tease another upcoming WWE appearance: 'Stay tuned'

LOS ANGELES − Two of the most popular twins in sports have made their WWE TV debuts, but it appears it won't be the last time they'll appear anytime soon.

The Cavinder Twins, former University of Miami women's basketball stars Haley and Hanna Cavinder, teased another WWE appearance while at the 2023 ESPY Awards on Wednesday.

"We have another event we're going to soon, so we're super excited about it. Yeah, stay tuned," Hanna Cavinder told USA TODAY Sports.

Boasting more than 4.5 million followers on TikTok, the Cavinder Twins became one of college sports biggest stars while playing basketball for Fresno State then the University of Miami, raking up more than $1.7 million in endorsement deals through NIL, according to Forbes. After leader Miami to its first-ever Elite Eight run in the NCAA tournament, the twins opted out of their final year of eligibility and announced their departure from the school in April.

But before leaving basketball, the Cavinders signed an NIL deal with the WWE in 2021 as part of its inaugural "Next In Line" class, which "provides a clear pathway from collegiate athletics to WWE," the wrestling company announced, as athletes "may earn an exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract."

Last month, they were seen at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and made their TV debut as they hoisted WWE superstar Thea Hail on their shoulders in celebration of Hail's NXT Women’s Battle Royale win.

'It's a lot of work'

While at the performance center, the Cavinders said they were there to learn what the company was about and do some training. Haley Cavinder said experiencing the "physicality and the hard work" of being a superstar is what surprised her the most.

"It's a lot of work. They're in there all the time, training and trying to get their bodies right. It's really cool to dive deep into that and see that," she said.

The twins didn't reveal when they'll be back on WWE, but they could appear in NXT again, or make an appearance NXT Great American Bash on July 30, or SummerSlam on Aug. 5.
