Casino Speedway Memorial cut short by rain with only one of six features completed

WATERTOWN — With just a little more than half of the racing program completed, the weather got the best of the ninth Casino Speedway Memorial racing program on Sunday night.

The Casino Speedway Memorial is held each year to celebrate the lives of Casino Speedway family members who passed away in the last year.

All of the heat races in the regular six classes of cars were held and the Gen X late models feature was completed before rain washed out the final five features. The features will be made up at a later date.

Bodie Croninger of Watertown won the Gen X late models feature. Complete results of the race won't be posted until the other five features are made up.

Another weekly racing program, featuring all six regular classes, is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
