Carter Kadow picked up a Rutgers football offer on Saturday, is expecting to decide soon

Following the Big Man camp at Rutgers football on Saturday, Carter Kadow was offered by Rutgers football. Now, a decision on his college future could be coming shortly for the offensive lineman.

A three-star offensive lineman from Middleton, WI, Kadow’s other Power Five offer is from Indiana. He also holds offers from Northern Illinois, Western Michigan and Yale while fielding interest from Iowa State, Minnesota and Penn State.

A college commitment, he said, should be coming “within the next few days.”

Following the Big Man camp on Saturday, Kadow was called up to head coach Greg Schiano’s office. He and Schiano talked for a bit about the camp and his future as a player.

It was then that the 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle.

“It’s great. I love the culture and the facilities are out of this world,” Kadow told Rutgers Wire on Saturday night.

“I love the players-first mentality that all the coaches have. After the camp, I felt I learned a lot and the coaching staff for the offensive really got us better and di a great job teaching us the techniques.”

According to 247Sports, Kadow is the twelfth best player in Wisconsin in the 2024 recruiting class. Rutgers holds a commitment in this current recruiting class from Sam Pilof, a three-star linebacker with offers from Penn State and Wisconsin.

Part of Saturday’s camp for Kadow was getting to know Pat Flaherty. The Rutgers offensive line coach, who comes to the program with two decades of  experience in the NFL.

He won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants as their offensive line coach.

“Coach Flats was great, an excellent teacher and coach Vallone (Scott Vallone, offensive line assistant coach) was the same way,” Kadow said.

“You could tell he has been around football for awhile from his understanding of the game and his ability to teach us.”

An official visit could be in the mix for Rutgers at some point.

“I don’t have any more visits scheduled because of the dead period but I plan on making a decision soon on which school I will be committing to,” Kadow said.
