Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Rams: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 6 matchup

Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers (1-4) play their first game after head coach Matt Rhule was fired when they travel to Los Angeles to face Matthew Stafford and the Rams (2-3).

Although the Rams have had their own struggles this season, perhaps no team has dealt with as much as the Panthers. Can Stafford, Cooper Kupp and the Rams take advantage and pick up a much-needed victory? The game is scheduled to kick off Sunday at 4 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium.

Here's a look at the betting details and USA TODAY's NFL staff picks for the Panthers vs. Rams Week 6 game:

Lorenzo Reyes: Rams 21, Panthers 13

Los Angeles has several issues to figure out. It’s second-to-last with 12 giveaways, the offensive line yields too many sacks and the secondary yields too many big plays. Carolina is worse off, especially with Baker Mayfield banged up. Still, I think this game ends up closer than the line indicates.

Safid Deen: Rams 27, Panthers 17

Carolina might cut it loose in their first game free from their old coach and defensive coordinator, but the defending champion arame will get back on track after losses to the 49ers and Cowboys.

Lance Pugmire: Rams 30, Panthers 10

Following the firing of coach Matt Rhule and an injury to Baker Mayfield, the Panthers are trending toward first-overall-pick status. This then becomes the ideal moment for Matthew Stafford to heal from last week’s ugly home loss to Dallas.

Jarrett Bell: Rams 30, Panthers 17
