Cardinals elevate TE Maxx Williams, WR Pharoh Cooper for game vs. Patriots

The Arizona Cardinals have decided on a pair of roster moves to make before they face the New England Patriots Monday night. On Monday afternoon, they elevated tight end Maxx Williams and receiver Pharoh Cooper to the active roster for the game tonight.

Williams will have role on offense with tight ends Trey McBride and Stephen Anderson. McBride and Anderson are the only tight ends on the roster.

Cooper will back up Greg Dortch, who returns to the lineup after missing a game with a thumb injury. He could return punts and kicks if the team wants to limit Dortch’s usage in his first game back.
