Cardinals Edge Chargers, 18-17

Carson Palmer had a big night passing, leading the way to a narrow victory for the Cardinals over the Chargers, 18-17, at home.

Palmer threw for a respectable 304 yards on 24 of 37 passing, two touchdowns and one fumble. On the Chargers side, Philip Rivers went 21 for 36 with 238 yards passing, one touchdown and one pick.

Andre Ellington rushed for 53 yards on 13 attempts in addition to five receptions for 27 yards with one fumble. Michael Floyd was a highlight, pulling in five balls for 119 yards.

The Arizona defense was the deciding factor in the victory, giving up 52 yards rushing and 238 passing.

Chargers tight end Antonio Gates provided some spark with 81 receiving yards.

The Cardinals head to East Rutherford next week to face off with the Giants (0-1) while the Chargers will play host to the Seahawks (1-0).
