Cardinals’ defensive snap counts and observations vs. Bengals
In the Arizona Cardinals’ 36-23 preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday the defense played 67 snaps. How was that playing time divided up?

Jonathan Ledbetter, 30; Manny Jones, 30; Christian Ringo, 29; Antwaun Woods, 23; Leki Fotu, 14; Michael Dogbe, 12; Rashard Lawrence, 9
Ledbetter played a lot, as did Jones. Fotu, Dogbe and Lawrence, all expected to make the team, only got a little work in the first half, partly because the defense got off the field pretty quickly.
Outside linebacker

Myjai Sanders, 36; Cameron Thomas, 27; Victor Dimukeje, 26; Jesse Luketa, 22; Jessie Lemonier, 13; Dennis Gardeck, 10
Gardeck had the lightest workload early. Dimukeje did well in 26 snaps.
Inside linebacker

Ben Niemann, 43; Chandler Wooten, 34; Joe Walker, 25; Zaven Collins, 18; Zeke Turner, 14
Collins didn’t get as much work as many probably thought he would. Niemann was the leader of the playing time, probably since he is new to the system.
Cornerback

Jace Whittaker, 54; Josh Jackson, 26; Christian Matthew, 26; Breon Borders, 23; Cortez Davis, 23; Marco Wilson, 18
Wilson was out of the game when Collins came out from linebacker. Whittaker got more than double the work of all the other players.
Safety

I did not realize only three safeties played.
